You may scoff at the notion that a piece of wood with some letters on it can connect you to the dead but people have been doing it for at least some 2,500 years, back to the time of Pythagoras.

What most people know today as Ouija – Yes-Yes in French and German – is the board game created by Parker Brothers with a trademark registered in 1966, when it outsold Monopoly in its first year on the market.

However, according to Stoker Hunt’s book ‘Ouija – The Most Dangerous Game,’ you can just draw the board on a piece of paper (putting the paper under glass is better), turn over a tea cup, get the players to lightly place their fingertips on it, and away you go.
