Cassandra believes in Massage Therapy as a powerful healing tool for both mind and body. Working as a RMT, she has seen many a time the dramatic improvement people achieve, not only in their physical health, but their mental outlook; they are calmer and more able to handle times of stress.
Cassandra did her training in Toronto, Canada at the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy and is a registrant of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario as well as the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia. Her priority is to address and achieve her clients’ wellness goals whatever they may be, from pain and stress reduction to feeling more comfortable in their own bodies. Cassandra uses a combination of Swedish techniques, myofascial release, dynamic stretching and hydrotherapy in her sessions.
She has a special interest, and extra training, in pre-natal massage. She believes that this is especially an important time to receive care which will directly benefit the mother and the baby. She enjoys supporting women and their partners through this time of great change. Pre and Post Natal care requires a therapist who is attuned to the bodies’ changing needs, and adept at managing the unique structural issues that arise during pregnancy.
As a new resident of Vancouver, she is enjoying exploring the city, including its ski hills, bike paths and corner cafes. She looks forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your wellness goals.
